Heartsaver First Aid Training (~ 4 hours)

• Learn  Basic First Aid Principles: When and how to call for help. What to do until emergency rescuers arrive.

This includes rescuer/victim safety, use of personal protective equipment and first aid kit, and proper hand-washing.

• Learn about Medical emergencies: Allergic reactions and the use of epinephrine pens, heart attack, stroke, seizures, shock, fainting

• Learn about Injury emergencies: Bleeding, care of wounds, head and spine injuries, broken bones and sprains, burns

• Learn about Environmental emergencies: Insect bites, animal bites, heat-stroke, low body temperature, poisons.

This program is for individuals who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.  This program is also for individuals interested in learning first aid skills for personal reasons.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a First Aid card valid for two years.

Renewal courses available. (You must show proof of certification with a valid First Aid card.)
